Hello, I’m Claire
I studied at the University of Central England and gained a Diploma in Professional Planning Studies and the Environment whilst working in a busy planning office for 16 years. During this time, I also embarked on a teacher training course with the British Wheel of Yoga and in 2006 I gained a Diploma (500 hour) 3 year Teaching Qualification. I always knew that my drive and passion and heart was in yoga so in 2016, I gave up my corporate career and set up Love Yoga with Claire and started to teach on a full-time basis in the community. Since that time, I have built up a wonderful group of clients of all ages and backgrounds.
Having studied with the British Wheel of Yoga, I have studied all aspects of yoga including pranayama (breath control), anatomy and physiology, the philosophy of yoga, meditation, and relaxation techniques as well as having a thorough understanding of the postures (asanas). As a British Wheel of Yoga Teacher, we attend training days each year for our continued professional development. I have studied with many different teachers and have taken courses such as Yoga for Strength, Yoga for Mental Health, Yoga for Sport and Athletes, Yoga for Back Problems, Teaching Restorative Yoga. Training as a yoga teacher is life long and I am continually learning new postures, breathing, relaxation, and meditation techniques and reading new material as yoga continues to evolve in the West.
Love Yoga with Claire has grown over the years and I teach group classes, 1:1 and 1:2 private lessons, family yoga, garden yoga, workshops, and I have taught yoga with local businesses and worked with schoolteachers to help them to relax at the end of their day. I have also taught meditation techniques to ladies recovering from Breast Cancer, a charity known as Supporting Confidence Through Exercise, the ‘In the Pink’ Breast Cancer Rehabilitation Programme and I also love organising yoga events to raise money for charities close to my heart.
I am very much looking forward to what lies ahead in my lifelong training and teaching and I hope to meet you along the way.
